Ivy's 2012 Summer News!

Ivy Thimble thanks all the shop hoppers that joined in on the WNY Shop Hop this past weekend. We had a great time seeing all of you, NEW quilters, old friends… it was great fun sharing with you all we have new at Ivy Thimble. We had over 350 hoppers come to Ivy Thimble…WOW!! Thank you all for making the trip… we realize you drove a lot of miles but wasn’t it fun! In the past week we have received over 150 bolts of NEW Batiks!! WOW they are GORGEOUS !! We’ve been busy making new tumbler kits and jelly rolls… but don’t worry there is still a WIDE assortment of batiks for you to choose from… come in soon for the best choice of course! * * * * NEW classes are posted!… be sure to check our website for something fun to do… Kim’s Woven Tablerunner, Jan’s Strip Club on Wednesdays, Joanne’s Civil War Celebration (we have openings for the evening class!), Barb’s breakfast class…stop in and join us for some fun! * * * * * Save the dates: July 14 – DEMO DERBY at Ivy Thimble We’re so excited about our Demo Derby! We will be demonstrating some great tools that many of us already have but don’t use to our advantage and some new tools… not to mention we’ll be showing you how to do your bindings, a great ruler to make ½ square triangles…just to name a few….watch your email for more to come! Not only will we be demonstrating all sorts of FUN stuff… the Scissor Sharpening Man will be here that day as well!! More info to follow! * * * * * July 19-21 CHRISTMAS IN JULY!! Our Christmas fabric is arriving daily!! Pat has been busy getting us all involved in making holiday samples for the shop. We’re excited….lots of NEW fabrics, NEW patterns and great ideas…stay tuned for my info!! Holiday Longarm Quilting Services To ensure we are able to complete all quilts needed for Christmas, our cut-off date for Christmas is August 15. We ask that you have your quilt to us OR a space reserved no later than August 15. Please be reminded when you reserve a space, we ask that your quilt be in the shop 8 weeks after you have reserved your space *SEE YOU AT IVY THIMBLE SOON… don’t forget those gorgeous new BATIKS!
