Happy New Year to all Ivy Thimble Quilters! As I write this it is snowing AGAIN! Thanks to all the snow we have extended our Pre-Inventory Sale through the end of the day Monday, 12/31…3pm! The first will be a Valentine’s runner so you’ll be ready for the big day on time! We’ll be working out of two books throughout the year making fun, whimsical runners.. • Cindy is continuing her monthly Tuesday/Saturday classes with a quilt from Bits n’ Pieces, “Sew Many Blocks”. Join her as she walks you through piecing blocks and having fun with a bit of applique as well. You can step out of the box and do the quilt in a fabric you haven’t worked with, i.e., batiks, 30s, traditional or reproduction – any of these lines the quilt will be STUNNING! • Joanne’s “Tulips and Leaves” by Jan Patek is a fun wallhanging with piecing of half square triangles and some fun applique. We even helped you out with the fabrics…we have kits made in her colorway! • Cindy is hosting a “Finishing Class’ in January – come learn several fun techniques on binding, label making…bring your machine for hands-on help or come and watch and take notes…she’ll have all sorts of hints for you! • Have you wanted to learn how to paperpiece? We’re starting a series of classes to share the fun with you! First class, Wed., Jan 16…come have fun with something NEW! • Check the calendar for our weekly “Ivy Bees” …otherwise known as Open Sew…bring a project you need to finish…use our space and irons/ironing board and have some fun … be sure to call ahead because space is limited! • Don’t forget…SUPER BOWL SUNDAY, February 3! Hurricane Sandy Quilts

As of today, December 6 we are no longer collecting quilts for Hurricane Sandy. A HUGE thank you to all of you that brought in quilts or gave monetary donations. Today I received a LARGE box of quilts from a group near Buffalo...THANK YOU!! Tomorrow I will be sending out TEN BOXES of quilts - that makes almost 20 boxes FILLED with quilts were given. Thank You EVERYONE!!
