Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all Ivy Thimble Quilters! As I write this it is snowing AGAIN! Thanks to all the snow we have extended our Pre-Inventory Sale through the end of the day Monday, 12/31…3pm! Come in one last time to receive 30% OFF ALL holiday fabrics and kits AND 25% OFF the rest of the shop! Now is the time to stock up for next year’s gifts for sure! While you’re in the shop be sure to check the class samples on display. We have some fun classes scheduled … something for EVERYONE! • Joanne is starting a new year with some fun “quilt as you go” tablerunners! The first will be a Valentine’s runner so you’ll be ready for the big day on time! We’ll be working out of two books throughout the year making fun, whimsical runners.. • Cindy is continuing her monthly Tuesday/Saturday classes with a quilt from Bits n’ Pieces, “Sew Many Blocks”. Join her as she walks you through piecing blocks and having fun with a bit of applique as well. You can step out of the box and do the quilt in a fabric you haven’t worked with, i.e., batiks, 30s, traditional or reproduction – any of these lines the quilt will be STUNNING! • Joanne’s “Tulips and Leaves” by Jan Patek is a fun wallhanging with piecing of half square triangles and some fun applique. We even helped you out with the fabrics…we have kits made in her colorway! • Cindy is hosting a “Finishing Class’ in January – come learn several fun techniques on binding, label making…bring your machine for hands-on help or come and watch and take notes…she’ll have all sorts of hints for you! • Have you wanted to learn how to paperpiece? We’re starting a series of classes to share the fun with you! First class, Wed., Jan 16…come have fun with something NEW! • Check the calendar for our weekly “Ivy Bees” …otherwise known as Open Sew…bring a project you need to finish…use our space and irons/ironing board and have some fun … be sure to call ahead because space is limited! • Don’t forget…SUPER BOWL SUNDAY, February 3! Cindy is working on our Annual Class project…a fast, FUN project for everyone! Watch the website…sample will be on display VERY SOON!! Step 2 of our “Bobbin Along” Mystery Quilt is ready for pick-up…if you want it mailed please call the shop…we’ll drop it in the mail!
